Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Bucky is made by Nathalie Maes (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what the Bucky iOS app does with information. The short version: there is no account, your list stays on your device and in your own iCloud, and I do not sell or share personal data.
What you create
Your dreams, notes, tasks, habits, check-ins, photos and settings are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, Bucky syncs them between your devices using Apple’s CloudKit, in your private iCloud storage. I cannot see or access this data. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to iCloud.
Analytics
Bucky uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count anonymous events such as “an item was added” or “the paywall was viewed”, so I can see which parts of the app are used. These events contain no names, no email address, no list content and no advertising identifier, and cannot be linked back to you. You can turn analytics off in Settings.
Purchases
Bucky Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; I never see your payment details. I receive only what the App Store tells the app about whether you have an active purchase, and I do this on your device.
Photos and notifications
Bucky asks for access to your photos or camera only when you choose to add a picture, and only reads the pictures you select. Notifications are local reminders scheduled on your device. Bucky asks permission the first time you set a reminder. You can change both in iOS Settings.
Inspiration content
Bucky downloads new inspiration ideas and images from a static server, at most about once a day. The request does not include your list or any personal information, but like any internet request it is visible to the hosting provider as an IP address.
Contacting me
If you send a message through the support form, I receive your email address and message so I can reply. The form is run by Formspree, which processes it on my behalf (see Formspree’s privacy policy). I use it only to answer you and keep it for as long as needed for that.
What I do not do
- No accounts, no tracking across other apps or websites, no advertising.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
Your choices and your data
You can export your list (Settings → Export) and delete all your data, including the copy in iCloud (Settings → Delete all data), at any time. Deleting the app removes the data on that device.
Children
Bucky is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will update the date above, and describe significant changes in the app’s release notes.
